i recently stayed here for a christmas party and was pleasantly surprised at how much it exceeded my previous experience in newry. the staff were incredibly friendly and the food at the event was delicious, particularly the freshly baked croissants at breakfast. overall, a fantastic stay that made our celebration memorable.
the shower did not have hot water.

The breakfast was splendid, especially with those freshly cooked offerings that hit the spot. Staff were true gems, making my parents feel right at home. Plus, the staff's eagerness to help was unmissable!
Sure, the decor looked a wee bit tired and in need of a facelift. The bathroom setup felt dated with the shower over the bath – a proper separate shower unit would have been a real treat.

comfortable stay, but lacks charm
The twin room was clean and well-maintained, offering a restful environment. I appreciated the ample parking available , making arrivals and departures hassle-free.
Not much really. It was functional and lacked any standout features.

Cozy stay with great breakfast!
We had a lovely night at this place! The staff was super friendly, especially the night porter who helped us out a lot. Breakfast was awesome, lots of yummy choices like pancakes and cereals. The only little issue was the parking got a bit packed in the evening, but we managed. Definitely a comfy spot for a quick getaway.

missingWrote a review on 04 Novdated décorrusty bath
The overall look of the room felt pretty dated, like stepping into an old Echo base with worn-out décor. The bath had a concerning rust issue that didn’t exactly scream hospitality. I discovered the breakfast times were confusing—arriving at 10:15 a.m., I was told service ended at 10:00 a.m., leaving me with a bit of a sour start to the day. By the way, if you’re a fan of decent dining, steer clear of the chicken stack. it came out less than appetizing and definitely frozen-tasting. the dark bar didn’t feel welcoming enough, which made us skip eating there altogether.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!
The staff were absolutely delightful, turning our stay into a friendly adventure! Our room was spotless and well-stocked, making it feel like a home away from home. And let’s not forget about the breakfast—endless coffee and a menu that could have kept me glued to my seat all morning!
100% recommend ❤️❤️

Decent room sizes with ample wardrobe space and a good work desk. The food impresses with large portions, well-cooked meals, and an excellent breakfast selection.
The décor feels outdated, resembling a hangover from the 90s. No lift makes lugging bags upstairs a chore. Rooms feature plastic cups in the bathroom, and the bathroom radiators can get uncomfortably hot. Located on a busy road, traffic noise may not be ideal for light sleepers. The atmosphere can feel chilly in dining areas due to low foot traffic.

Had a fantastic stay with friends! We visited a lovely nightclub and enjoyed great food at the bar. The staff were super friendly and everything was clean and comfy. Just a heads-up, the rooms might seem a bit outdated but they served us well. Definitely recommend for a group getaway!
One downside was the unprofessional greeting we received upon check-in, which made the start a bit awkward.

Breakfast quality stood out with exceptional cooked options and rapid service. the lobby had a musty smell, which didn't create a welcoming atmosphere. One friend's room had ripped wallpaper, and the water pressure in the shower was disappointingly weak. the bar closing early on a Saturday night was unexpected and frustrating.

I had a pleasant stay at the Mourne Country Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed felt great, and the shower had impressive pressure. Breakfast stood out as a highlight. it featured freshly cooked options and generous portions. The staff really made an effort, especially at breakfast, where they were welcoming and attentive. I faced a few inconveniences. The long walk to the town center felt like a hassle. There was noise from music nights during weekends, which detracted from the experience. I didn’t have hot water during one of my morning showers.
